Senior Applications Technician

VP of Installation & Customer Service

Operations
Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical information and assistance to other employees and customers
  • Research technical issues and provide solutions to resolve
  • Provide in house training to technicians
  • Provide Installation and Service duties within the installation and service departments
  • Responsible to install and test A.C. Technical Systems approved products
  • Provide customer service duties as they relate to hardware, programming and networking issues
  • Responsible and accountable to complete installation projects that have met A.C. Technical Systems standards
  • Test, commission and program A.C. Technical Systems approved products
  • Work with customers IT departments to connect to the client’s network
  • On-call duties are required
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • At least 5 years experience of similar or related work
  • Strong knowledge of computers, networking and IP systems
  • Knowledge and skills in the security industry
  • Factory trained on integrated security products
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Capacity for strategic thinking
  • Able to conceptualize and think creatively
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Understanding of health and safety standards
  • Must be able to meet or surpass security clearance (CPIC or government security clearances)
  • Knowledge of Avigilon, Lenel, Kantech, CCURE, IndigoVision

 

Installation Technician

Location:
Whitby
Reports To:
VP of Installation & Customer Service
Department:
Operations
Responsibilities:
  • Work with project supervisors as required
  • Installation and Service duties within the installation and service departments
  • Install and test A.C. Technical Systems approved products
  • Customer service duties as they relate to hardware, limited programming and networking issues
  • Complete installations to A.C. Technical Systems standards
  • Responsible and accountable to provide all drawings, commissioning reports, training and sign off documentation at the end and during the project
  • On-call duties are required
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • At least 2 years experience of installations and service of integrated security systems
  • Electrical and electronic knowledge an asset
  • Factory trained in integrated security products an asset
  • Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent level of knowledge
  • Knowledge and skills in the security industry
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Capacity for strategic thinking
  • Able to conceptualize and think creatively
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Understanding of health and safety standards
  • Must be able to meet or surpass security clearance (CPIC or government security clearances)
  • Understanding of timelines and ability to multi-task
  • Knowledge of Avigilon, Lenel, Kantech, CCURE, IndigoVision
